Keedokeedo: Social Media Content for a Singapore Bakery

Baking Up Social Success
Problem

The Challenge

Keedokeedo is a bakery known for its signature lobster-tail pastry, with a loyal local following but a ceiling on how many people knew about it. Its challenge was expanding beyond regulars — growing awareness and driving more foot traffic to the store — in a category where discovery is highly local and highly visual.

Before the engagement, it had a small local following and limited reach beyond regulars; the bakery’s most shareable asset, its pastries, wasn’t reaching enough of the nearby audience who would happily become customers. Bakeries live and die on impulse and locality: people decide to visit based on how a treat looks and whether it’s on their radar when a craving hits.

The audience Keedokeedo needed to reach was local food lovers and nearby residents within realistic visiting distance. The brief was to build a stronger local community online and turn appetising content into real-world footfall — more people walking in specifically because they’d seen the pastries and wanted one.

Solution

Our Approach

We built Keedokeedo’s social around a hyper-local, community-first strategy, because for a single-location bakery, reaching the right neighbourhood matters far more than reaching everyone. The content centred on the signature lobster-tail pastry and the bakery’s character, using video and genuine storytelling to build a sense of community and craving.

In practice this meant a steady content calendar of posts and short-form video across its main social channels, shaped by regular content shoots and, where it helped, paid amplification focused on the local audience. Short-form video did the heavy lifting — a pastry being made or pulled apart is far more tempting in motion — and we ran targeted, local promotion so the content reached people close enough to actually visit.

We kept the tone warm and personable so the bakery felt like a place worth going to, not just a product to buy. Every post was built to convert local appetite into a trip to the store.

For a single-location bakery, this local-first discipline is what makes social pay off: attention only matters if it belongs to people who can realistically walk in. By pairing appetising, hero-product content with tightly local promotion, Keedokeedo built a genuine neighbourhood following and turned online cravings into the repeat visits that keep a small bakery thriving.

This is the same process behind our social media management and social media video production services, plus TikTok marketing.

What made the difference

What made the difference was a hyper-local, video-led approach built around the signature lobster-tail pastry. For a neighbourhood bakery, broad reach is largely wasted — the win is being top of mind for people who can actually walk in, and appetising video of the hero product is what makes them want to.

By concentrating the content and the promotion on the local audience and letting the signature pastry carry the story, we grew a genuine community and turned that attention into footfall. It’s proof that for a bricks-and-mortar bakery, the right content in front of the right nearby people beats chasing reach for its own sake — and that focus is what lifted engagement and store visits.
